Service Technician

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Service Technician for direct-hire in Raleigh!

Direct hire position paying $26/hr. with a typical schedule of 7am-3pm with OT as necessary.  This position will be on call for 1 week each month.

In this position, you will:
 - Inspect and observe equipment to identify quotes for repairs.
 - Advise customers on equipment issues found during inspections and proper equipment usage.
 - Communicate details of service calls to office staff using computer, tablet, phone, and other modes of communication.
 - Perform mechanical and electrical services on cranes and hoists.
 - Understand OSHA codes and CMAA guidelines for cranes and hoists.
 - Advocate for safety on each job site at all times.
 - Complete work orders, inspection reports, and other documentation promptly.
 - Maintain company equipment to include vehicles, tools, and supplies.
 - Accurate record keeping of time spent on each job.

To qualify for this position, you will have:
 - 1+ year of experience working with cranes and hoists.
 - Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
 - Familiarity with concepts, practices, and procedures for field work.
 - Associate’s degree in mechanical/electrical systems and/or equivalent military technical training.
 - Knowledge of use and construction of cranes.
 - Experience with high voltage (220v, 240, 480v) and 3-phase motors.
 - Ability to read blueprints and voltage meters.
 - Scissor and boom lift experience.
 - Strong attention to detail and great organizational skills.
 - Ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced work environment by understanding and meeting hard deadlines.
 - Proficiency with MS Office or similar systems.
 - Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable under company’s liability coverage.
